MAG Library

Did you know that MAG has one of the region’s most extensive visual arts libraries? The Charlotte Whitney Allen Library is open to the public for browsing. MAG members and all K-12 and homeschool educators can borrow a wide variety of books for enhancing their teaching and learning experiences.

Teaching Artist Institute of Rochester

The Teaching Artist Institute of Rochester (TAIR) is an multi-day intensive workshop series for artists of any discipline to expand their teaching practice, explore social justice pedagogy, get resources on the business of teaching artistry, and connect with educators and cultural centers in Rochester as well as New York City. This institute is open to artists of all disciplines, including but not limited to creative writers, visual artists, musicians, dancers, multi-media artists, and theater artists. This year, the 3-Day intensive will be held in-person with virtual supplemental workshops. Application deadline is Aug 1st. Learn more

This hand-building ceramics class is perfect for beginners! In this structured class, you will learn the 3 basic hand-building techniques of making pinch-pots, slab-building and coil building.
